Student of the Month! March 2010 -Julia Carpino

| San Diego Music Studio is proud to present Julia Carpino as our March 2010
Student of the Month! Julia is a group piano and trumpet student and
studies with Ms. Jill. She has been playing the piano for several years and
the trumpet for a few months. Julia is ten years old and is in 5th grade at
Discovery Elementary School. She enjoys playing soccer, and collecting
erasers! In school, her favorite subject is reading. When she grows up,
Julia would like to be a 3rd Grade Teacher. |

Rock Guitar Workshop

 | The San Diego Music Studio Rock Guitar Workshop was a hit! We had a great turnout of guitarists ages 8 to 62 and of varying skill levels.
The event started off with a brilliant performance by "Craig's Band". The band performed songs by bands such as the Rolling Stones, Creame, ACDC and Steppen Wolf. The band was on fire and hot right out of the box. Their performance was well received by the over 50 people in attendance and we were all asking for more.
Once the performance was over the workshop attendees were broken up into 2 groups and their rock guitar studies ensued.
The "A" group spent 45 mnutes with Dennis Allen, lead guitarist of Craig"s band owner of the top Allen's Wrench Honda mechanic shop in San Marcos. Dennis showed the group step by step how to play "Born to be Wild" and gave them tips on soloing. |

Saturday classes are also a great way to get your make-up lessons in! Remember, make-up lessons are only good during months you've paid so take advantage of them right away! |
